It includes some bundled software that makes it a great deal. I later bought an 8 MB memory card, to allow 4 X as many shots as the with the included 2 MB card. Adding to my package, I bought an HP 722C printer which also came bundled with some great software. Another camera feature useful to me is it has direct

ATI All in Wonder Bundled Software
It's better to have a central system to manage that. I'm still not buying it. Such a thing would probably *encourage* bad practices, because there would be less pressure to deliver properly bundled software. Unfortunately, that 'pressure' isn't working now. As long as no app calls it, it won't be used.

Illegal to remove preinstalled Windows
I need to maximize HD space so I need to remove software (ie: CServe, Prodigy, AOL, Quicken, TalkShop, GNN, Newcom, etc.). Removing Items from "C" drive
So this makes me qualify my previous statements (perhaps the Standard ID limitation just applies to our then-bundled software Cheyenne Bitware for Windows that came with our voice modems and may or may not apply to our now-bundled Communicate Lite which comes with all our present modems). I find this most amusing.

Norton is notorious for not uninstalling completely and leaving pieces of itself all over the place. There is a Symantec page that tells how to get rid of at least some of those pieces, but I don't seem to be able to find the URL at the moment. I'm sure someone else will post it soon.

Cannot remove program!!
Bundled software sucks. I've already uninstalled Outlook Express via add/remove programs. When I installed a new ISP's installation CD, I found that the old version of Outlook Express was back, and it had become corrupted. Every time I write mail offline now, my computer freezes. Any ideas on a solution?

For the WP software, have a look at the bundled software. Some manufacturers bundle some version of MS Word with the computer, and if they do, it's really nice. If they don't, it's worth it to buy the program (even if it is pricey). It's a very nice word processor, and as it's the WP standard, it gives the most

other ideas? Re bundled software. I am not naive; I just think this corporate behavior is the pits and neither Dell nor, in this case, Microsoft win any points with me by obfuscating the limitations of the software. This is not a big deal for Money, but I hope I don't have the same trouble with Office 2003.
